Gina Ellis is a Surinamese Dutchie currently living in Hamburg, Germany, working on her debut EP which is planned to be released in 2020.

 

She started recording and performing from the age of 16 and has been a member of the Dutch famous gospel choir named ZO! Gospel Choir since 2012. 

During her time as one of the sopranos of the choir, she has had the opportunity to perform during the biggest shows in the biggest venues and on the biggest stages The Netherlands has got, like the Liberation Day 5 May Concert on the canals of Amsterdam, the choir's own sold out multiple concerts in Poppodium Paradiso, Ladies of Soul concerts and the RTL  Christmas Shows in The Ziggo Dome, Forward Thinking Leadership Conference with President Obama as special guestspeaker at AFAS Live, the Broederliefde concert in AHOY Rotterdam, The DWDD Guilty Pleasure Christmas Concert at the Koninklijk Theater Carré and a Plan Nederland performance at  Johan Cruijff Arena to name a few. 

Also, she had the chance to perform live with artists that will make your jaw drop like Mariah Carey during her Christmas tour in The Ziggo DomeOleta Adams during the Masterpiece in Concert show at the ZIGGO Dome and  Kamasi Washington at North Sea Jazz Festival in AHOY Rotterdam, and many others.

Due to her role in the choir, Gina.Ellis also had the opportunity to perform regularly on Dutch tv-shows, like Pauw&Witteman, DWDD, Koffietijd and RTL Late Night.

The choir also frequently recorded vocals for famous artists like Nielson, the 3J's and Bokoesam.

 

As the choir grew in popularity, Gina.Ellis really enjoyed every single performance and recording, and became eager to start her own project too.

So, in 2019, she was asked by one of Holland's finest rappers in the industry, Extince, to provide some vocals for his album KERMIS, which she did for a couple of tracks on the album. You could check this out on the Music Page.

In 2021 she also was asked to sing the lead vocals on the ZO! Gospel Choir's new track named 'Silent Words'.
